The Family is an integral part of everything that we do at Berachah.  Did you know that many studies have said that over 80% of the young people who grow up in a church end up leaving it once they are in their college years?  What if we could get back to the Biblical picture of family where the church was not the spiritual feeding tube of the home but rather a partner and equipper for mom and dad to teach their children the stories and life of Jesus?  This is the pursuit in which we find ourselves at Berachah.  We are pursuing the model of home and family described in Deuteronomy 6.

"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."

We believe it is our role as a church to give parents the resources and training to pursue this picture of family.  We provide many shared opportunities for the family to learn, grow, serve, and play together.  It is our deepest desire to see homes transformed by the powerful gospel of Jesus Christ.
